Happy Easter 2024

On the third day, Jesus rose from His grave (Luke 24:6). We call this day Easter. He died on a cross and a few days later, he was alive once more - resurrected. How grateful I am for that, because that means I, too, will rise from my grave to live with Jesus and God once my life here is over. We must also remember the beauty in that promise He made to bring us to live with Him (John 14:1-4). But that isn't all.

Before He was crucified, Jesus told His disciples in Matthew 16:27 that He would return with the angels one day and repay each of us for what we have done - good for good, bad for bad. So, the Rapture and Judgment Day are coming. This means we will get to see Jesus ourselves. And Jesus adds more details in Matthew 24 about that day of Rapture when he will return for those of us who have lived for Him. He tells us to be prepared. He tells us how bad the world will look just before He comes back. If you watch the news at all, you can see this is coming true: wars, rumors of wars, nation against nation, famine, increased earthquakes. Maybe this is a warning and God will allow things to get better for a while. I don't know. I do know that Jesus tells us to be prepared for this second coming where He will resurrect the dead who were prepared and allow those who are alive and are prepared to come (during the Rapture) live with Him and our Father in Heaven. People will have time, though, to change their ways during Tribulation or time of suffering (Revelation 6:9-11). The Tribulation period will be difficult for all but particularly new believers of that time; thus, the time of suffering. And during the Judgment, all will stand in His presence to hear their destiny of Heaven or hell.

So, if you've been waiting to accept Christ as your Savior, I urge you to make that decision to do so now. Easter is a beautiful day for a new beginning, to start living the way He asks you to live. He gives us free will to make this decision. The decision to follow Him frees us from our sins. And what a freedom that is! Don't let the devil talk you out of this precious gift of Heaven. Ask God to forgive you for your sins in Jesus' name. It's that simple to begin living in that freedom.

Have a happy and blessed Easter,

Patricia

We'll be happy to try to produce a t-shirt to your liking as long as there is nothing profane, vulgar, immoral, licensed, trademarked or involving hate related to the design. One of the tees reads Love Obey Trust with bible books, chapters, and verses that coincide with these words. The other states God Lives Here with "Here" inside a heart shaped from mini hearts. So, basically 2 messages. God Lives and He lives in our hearts. 😇 Thanks for dropping by to read my updates today, Patricia

Finally a Few Nice Days in a Row

I've been waiting and waiting for spring temps to arrive for more than a couple of days without rain. And this is the week! We finally have some color in the yard and on our deck. So, I want to share what my husband, son, and I have been up to for the last few days. First of all, we had our first cookout on Sunday, April 28 to celebrate our younger son's birthday. That officially kicks off spring. I mixed the first batch of hummingbird nectar a couple of weeks ago, hoping the males would take advantage while the females were tending to their nests. As far as we can tell, 1 male has visited twice. Of course, we can't look out the window all of the time. But we do look out frequently. And we hang them in 2 locations that we can see directly from the kitchen windows. The rose bushes started blooming about a week ago, and I finally had time to take pictures of them. I pulled out the grass and weeds that were growing around them a couple of hours after I took the front-facing ...

Bounty Paper Towels Product Review

Today, I want to let you in on a little secret . I recently bought a new four-pack of  Bounty paper towels - full sheets. I am not a select-a-size fan at all, for the record. Anyway, the newer package didn't look as thick as the last several packages I had bought over the last several years. I happened to have an older package in storage (and I actually noticed not long ago that the rolls seemed to be smaller in more recent packages, as well, based on the way they fit more loosely in my paper towel holder; not too long ago, they were very snug in my holder until I had used four or five paper towels), so I compared the two when I brought the newer package home. Lo and behold, I was correct. So, I think the decrease in sheets actually started happening gradually over the last year or so. But this time, the reduction was very noticeable. And I hope Bounty won't decrease the size anymore. As you can see in the pictures below, the older package of paper towels shows 58 sheets per r...
